Is my MG4 XPower's paint defect normal?

After I got my Black MG4 XPower in November 2023, the bonnet started to chip excessively with stone after two to three months. The paint is so thin that it is eroding to the white primer, or perhaps the metal. I've driven older cars the same way without experiencing this problem, but MG says it's my fault and won't cover it under warranty, I mean WTH. At just 7 months old, it already needs a respray, despite my care. If anyone with 7K+ miles could share photos of their MG4’s bonnet, it would really help my case.

Your situation definitely sounds more extreme. I would recommend going to a body shop for a professional report. They can use a paint depth gauge to check the thickness and quality of the paint. If they find anything substandard, you’ will have solid evidence to take back to MG
