Buzzing sensation at highway speeds

I’ve been experiencing a buzzing sensation between 60-80 mph, especially around 70 mph. It’s not severe, but it’s noticeable. I mentioned it to the dealer, but they didn’t know anything about it. It seems to be a common issue with the X Powers. Interestingly, the buzzing is almost gone above 80 mph in my car, but it’s still a problem that shouldn’t happen in a new vehicle. I'm considering pushing the dealer to escalate it to MG.

Yep, I felt that too. There's definitely something off at the front, like you can almost feel it through the steering wheel. It’s not a full-blown vibration that’s rattling the whole car, but more like the engine’s kind of struggling to keep up with the speed. Like the car wants to just glide along, but the motor’s not quite in sync with the flow, so you get this weird, uneven vibe instead.

Search the group for "vibration". There's a separate Facebook group just for this topic, and a legal action via RejectMyCar. MG are aware of the issue. Your dealer should be too

That’s exactly it! It feels like the car is trying to keep up but can’t quite find its groove. So yeah , it seems like a motor sync issue, not a full vibration.

Me too - although I have an MG4 Trophy LR - brand new, and I'm not alone. Mine is a low pitch droning / humming which I can just feel through the steering wheel, above 60mph but peaks around 67. The smoother the surface the worse it seems to be. I thought this was just XPOWERS but having joined a few forums, many others experience it. I have also test driven the dealers demo car which also does it, and did a cheeky test drive of a car for sale at another dealer - same.

I've had my wheels balanced, no improvement. It's really annoying because it is at just the right frequency that even with the radio on, you can feel / hear it. I've gone back to the dealer today to report, but at day 29 of my right to reject, I think I will be going down the path of investigation and repair which they have 1 chance to do. Really taken the shine of my first brand new car in 20 years. Other than this it is a fabulous car, does everything I want.

The noise seems to come from the front, but that could just be because the foot wells concentrate it. Will keep you posted of any progress.
