Vibrations?

I recently bought an MG4, but I'm experiencing a strange vibration in the steering wheel at speeds above 70 mph. I'm wondering if this is a common issue, or if some cars are completely smooth even at high speeds. I'll do some research, but I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this before contacting the dealer.

That is a common issue. I know some people returned the car because of it. MG says it is part of the car. It is an alternative way of refusing to "fix" this somehow.

One EV owner and driver shares: EVs are generally better than ICE cars, especially at low speeds, they’re smooth and quiet. But at higher speeds (around 75 mph / 120 km/h), things can get shaky. After testing EVs for six months and owning a Cupra Born for over a year, I’ve noticed the steering wheel vibrates at high speeds. It’s not just a Cupra issue. I've felt it in every EV I’ve tried, including the Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, BMW i4, and MG4. It seems to be a common problem across models like the M3, i4, Kia EV9, Ioniq, and ID4, with many drivers reporting the same. Hope this clears up some questions about EVs at high speeds!

Vibrations at high speeds can sometimes happen due to wheel alignment, tire balancing, or other factors. It’s worth checking with the dealer for sure!

I think it depends on road conditions as well. On smoother highways, I don’t feel much in my MG4, but on rougher roads, I do get some feedback through the steering. Could be a mix of factors.
